A 51-year-old construction worker is dead and two fellow employees are patients in Sackville Memorial Hospital following an industrial accident late Monday (28 février) afternoon on the Mount Allison University campus. The men, employed as stonemasons, fell 40 feet to a concrete floor when a cross beam in a staging splintered.

Henri Dupuis, 51, of Memramcook died in hospital of a skull fracture at approximately 8 p.m. Monday, three hours after the incident.

Surviving Mr. Dupuis are his wife, the former Ella Melanson of Lourdes, three daughters, Béatrice, Alice and Juliette, at home; four sons, Alonzo, Rhéal, Omer and Edouard, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Phillipe LeBlanc (Dora), Mrs. Emma LeBlanc, Mrs. Aimé Cormier (Annie), all of Lourdes; and four brothers, Phillipe, Bernard, Léo, of Lourdes, and Emery, in Pennsylvania.

The funeral was held from the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. Pastor Rev. Roland Bouchard conducted requiem high mass, assisted by Rev. Oscar Gaudet and Rev. Leo Poirier.

Honorary pallbearers were Laurie Boudreau, Hervé LeBlanc, Robert LeBlanc, Alphee LeBlanc, Léo Sonier and Dismas Cormier.

Active pallbearers were Walter Dupuis, Norman Dupuis, Ronald Dupuis, Willie W. Dupuis and Eddie LeBlanc, cousins of ttie deceased.

The body was placed in the receiving vault of the St. Joseph parish cemetery, for burial at the Lourdes parish cemetery. Rev. Bouchard conducted the prayer service at the vault. Among those attending from out of town included friends and relatives from Cape Bald, Shediac, Scoudouc, Moncton, Sackville, Aboujagane, Haute-River, Que., and surrounding communities.
